Back in last week, we updated that Lenovo owned Motorola will launch the Moto G6 and G6 Play in the Indian market on June 4. Well, today the company has officially launched the devices at an event in New Delhi. The Moto G series was unveiled in April and now the company has launched two devices of Moto G series in India, and the company skipped the Moto G6 Plus which is the most powerful device among all the three.
Moto G6
Let’s start with the Moto G6 and it can be called as the lower mid-range smartphone. It sports a 5.7 inch Full HD+ display with the modern and trendy 18:9 aspect ratio, well, the first Motorola device with the 18:9 aspect ratio, and having 2160 X 1080 pixel resolution. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 octa core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU inside. It has 3/4GB of RAM with 32/64GB of internal storage respectively, along with MicroSd Card support. It has Dual 12MP + 5MP Rear Camera Setup with f/1.8 lens, Portrait Mode, PDAF, and dual tone LED flash. The video recording is supported up to 1080p at 60fps. The front camera is a 16MP shooter with Group Selfie Mode, Beauty Mode and LED flash. It packs in a 3,000 mAh battery with Motorola’s 15W TurboPower Charging support.
It runs on latest Android 8.0 Oreo with almost stock UI experience. It will have all Motorola features like gestures. This time the back is also made up of glass i.e. Gorilla Glass 3 protected, along with P2i water resistance for casual water splash. The fingerprint sensor is a front mounted sensor and it’s coming with Moto Key which will allow users to access their computer and favorite websites by just placing their finger on the scanner. The speaker is placed in the earpiece itself with Dolby Atmos support. Regarding connectivity, it has 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C Port, and FM Radio. The device will be available in Deep Indigo, Black, Silver, and Blush colour options.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the 3 GB RAM variant has the price tag of ₹13,999, the company hasn’t announced the pricing details of the 4 GB RAM variant of the device at this moment and the device will be available exclusively via Amazon India from midnight.
Moto G6 Play
Well, this is the least powerful smartphone amongst Moto G series. The Moto G6 Play sports a 5.7 inch HD+ display with the latest 18:9 aspect ratio, and having 1440 X 720 pixel resolution. Display resolution is least in this device but is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 (427-USA) octa core processor clocked at 1.4Ghz along with Adreno 506 GPU inside. It has 3 GB of RAM with 16/32GB of internal storage respectively, along with MicroSd Card support. It has 13MP Rear Camera with f/2.0 lens, PDAF and LED flash. The video recording is supported up to 1080p at 30fps. The front camera is a 5MP shooter with Beauty Mode and LED flash. It packs in a big 4,000 mAh battery with Motorola’s 15W TurboPower Charging support.
It runs on latest Android 8.0 Oreo with almost stock UI experience. It will have all Motorola features like gestures. Speaking about the pricing and availability, the device has the price tag of ₹11,999, and the device will be available via Flipkart from midnight. Moreover, the device will be available through Moto Hubs.
