Moto Z2 Force To Have Smaller Battery As Compared To Predecessor

After we got to know that Moto Z2 Force is going to launch on 25th July, the excitement level is increasing day by day. That’s because there are some strong rumours that Moto Z2 Force is going to launch Worldwide. Well the Moto Z2 Force seems to be a very good phone with shattershield display, flagship processor, and battery. Now today Evan Blass has leaked some specs of the same, some specs sounds very good, some sounds biased towards some region(s), and 1 disappointed spec. So let’s have a look at all of them..

1st let’s talk about the good specs. This Moto Z2 Force will have current flagship processor, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. It sports a 5.5” Quad HD 1440p Super AMOLED display with shattershield technology. There’s a 12MP+12MP Rear Camera Setup, though we don’t know anything about the functionality of this secondary camera. The front camera is going to be the same 5MP shooter. Also, there will be two colour options for the phone : Super Black and Fine Gold. There will be Lunar Grey colour variant only in USA.

Now coming to the biased one, actually I am talking about the internal storage. There will be three storage variants:

  • 4GB RAM + 64GB storage
  • 6GB RAM + 64GB storage
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage

The base variant will be available only for USA i.e. 4GB+64GB . Rest of the regions will get the 6GB+64GB variant, and China will get the top variant i.e. 6GB+128GB. Personally speaking it seems a bit unfair for US market, as US is one of the biggest market, and also the home country of original Motorola.

Now coming to the disappointed one. If you recall the last year’s Moto Z Force has a 3500mah battery, which seems to be a very good amount as Moto Z had a 2600mah battery. According to this leaks, Moto Z2 Force will have a smaller 2730 mah battery. Now this is very disappointing, as this is a very big gap between both phones. In the battery area, Moto Z2 Force don’t seems like a successor at all. Also this cut-down is done only because they want to make the phone a bit more thinner. Already this phone is 7mm thin, and that don’t seem like a thick phone at all.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. What are your thoughts on this leaks ? Do Motorola has to be biased towards USA ? And do Motorola needs to cut-down 22% battery as compared to the predecessor. Do let us know in the comments below. Well we will get all our answers by 25th of July. So stay tuned with us for more information.
