Over the past few months, we have gone through a bunch of Moto Z2 Force leaks. Moto Z2 Force is the most high end flagship device by Motorola. Now today Motorola has made this phone official at an event at New York City. They also unveiled the Moto 360 Mod at the event. The design and specs of Moto Z2 Force are pretty much the same as what we have seen in previous leaks. So let’s have a look at them, with the official tag.
The Moto Z2 Force seems exactly like a typical Moto Z series phone. On the front earpiece, sensors, front camera, and LED flash. Below is the 5.5 inch display with shattershield technology that protects the phone from all casual phone drops. Moto branding, main microphone and fingerprint sensor are present below the display. Volume rocker and power button are present at the right side of the phone. Below is the Type C Port only, nothing else. And on top there’s secondary noise cancellation microphone & SIM card slot. Now coming to back of the phone, there’s a Dual Camera Setup, Dual Tone LED flash, laser autofocus system, Moto logo, and 16 Pin Moto Mod connector. The back is made up of new reinforced 7000 series aluminium for more rigid experience.
Now coming to the specs of Moto Z2 Force, this phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa core processor clocked at 2.35Ghz coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSd Card. It sports a 5.5” Quad HD 1440p Super AMOLED display with shattershield technology. On the camera side it has 12MP + 12MP Rear Camera with f2.0 lens. The secondary camera is a monochrome lens that works for monochrome pictures as well as shallow depth in field image with depth sensor. Apart from this it has PDAF, laser autofocus, Dual Tone LED flash, and 4k video recording. On the front there’s a normal 5MP camera with f2.2 lens. It will run on Android 7.1.1 nougat out of the box with guaranteed update to Android O. There will be all typical Motorola features as well.
Now coming to the most disappointed aspect of this phone i.e. battery capacity. If you recall last year’s Moto Z Force, it had a big 3500mah battery which seems very good for a flagship phone. Now this year just like Moto Z2 Play, Motorola has reduced the battery capacity from 3500mah to just 2730mah. Though it has the same 15W fast charging support, but this much reduction don’t seems to be legit for less then 1mm thickness. What are your thoughts on this ? Do let us know in the comments below.
Other features of this phone includes Dual SIM support for some regions, splash resistance, Bluetooth 4.2 with Bluetooth 5 support via Android O update. Also this phone supports all Moto Mods that were launched till now.
Now coming to the new Moto 360 Mod, as the name suggests this Mod can capture photos in 360°. It can also record videos in 4k along with 3D audio. It can be easily placed on back of the phone. The camera is placed on the top of the Mod as you can see from the image above.
This phone will be available in Super Black and Fine Gold, along with Lunar Grey edition for T-Mobile. Talking about the pricing and availability, below are the details of both :
