Recently, the London based tech company Nothing rolled out the new Android 16 operating system for the Nothing Phone 3a series and it came with an unusual element, which is considered as bloatware. The company introduced the Lock Glimpse. It’s a customizable lock-screen feed that rotates through curated wallpapers and quick-view widgets for things like weather, reminders, and more.
It is actually similar to the Glance lock-screen feed that we can find on devices of Realme, Oppo, and Redmi. One of the top most executives of the company Akis Evangelidis, revealed that it’s actually a part of a broader strategy to include third-party applications on Nothing phones.
The company has confirmed that it will be pre-installing a “carefully considered selection” of third-party partner apps and services on select non-flagship devices.
