Nova Launcher, one of the best Android launcher, is updated with new Android O: Round search bar and notification badges for applications. The new features are available for those on the beta channel of the famous launcher.
Android O arrived at the Developer Preview 2, a real Beta usable as a daily operating system. There are plenty of bugs, but what attracts most are the aesthetic and functional innovations of the new Android release.
Nova Launcher: dynamic notification badges and circular search bar
Among the firsts, Google introduced a notification system with dynamic badge directly on the icons. Whenever we get an update as a message or an email, you will see a solid united badge on the app. An important new feature, although it is a less advanced solution than the classic badge with the number of notifications for each app.
Another new feature is the new Pixel Launcher, discovered premiere from 9to5Google at Google I / O. Turning to the stands to test functionality of Instant App, a Google Pixel turned to an oversight by a new version of Pixel Launcher. One of the new features is the circular search bar, already seen on Samsung Galaxy S8. Again, Google always experimenting with new designs for its products.
We do not know if these two features will be present in the final release of Android. In the aging process, some features are deemed too immature, others maintained. Do not worry: with Nova Launcher you trialling these new features.
Nova Launcher is available for free on the Play Store. But to get the new features you’ll need to be connected to the Beta channel app, and have the premium version. Often it has been put on offer for ₹150($2.40), so you may already own. And if Google does not implement these functions in Android Or, you can just download them for Nova.
