The social networking giant Facebook owned Instagram finally answered the long time demanded landscape mode in the platform, the company has announced that the now users can able to enjoy video contents on IGTV in landscape mode.
IGTV was launched in June last year, and it’s an easy video oriented platform which allows the creators to publish videos and the video can be up to 1 hour in length. It also comes with the many personalized setup as well. Well, now as the feature is inching closer to its first anniversary, the company has announced that it will now support the landscape mode on the platform.
In a blog post, Instagram stated, “We realize this is an evolution from where IGTV started — we believe ‘it’s the right change for viewers and creators. In many ways, opening IGTV to more than just vertical videos is similar to when we opened Instagram to more than just square photos in 2015. It enabled creativity to flourish and engagement to rise — and we believe the same will happen again with IGTV.”
With the landscape support, content creators can now able to upload the video without shooting it separately for the Portrait mode. This will also help them to attract more users because people love to watch videos in landscape mode which offers a good viewing experience.
