Red Magic 5G, an upcoming gaming phone from Nubia, a subbrand of ZTE, has been leaked online from a Benchmark site, ‘GameBench.’
The leaks bring a lot of information to light. It shows the dual-tone back with one-half blue and the other half a pink shade, both increasing the depth as they move towards the center.
The render showcases a triple camera setup in the rear, and it was earlier leaked that the Red Magic 5G will carry a 64 MP IMX686 sensor at the back.
In addition, you can see a black vertical strip housing the ‘REDMAGIC’ logo that glows in red. There is also a proprietary magnetic connector which might be used for connecting additional gaming accessories or for charging. Nubia also included a vent for heat to escape on both sides of the phone. It ensures continued gameplay without any compromise in performance. The capacitive shoulder button on the back can act as a trigger while playing games like PUBG Mobile. Red Magic has a 5G logo, which means that the phone will have 5G capabilities.
On the side of it, there is a red accent alert slider to silence the phone by the flick of a switch.
The most exciting feature of the phone is the 144 Hz refresh rate, which is higher than its competition. From a test run by GameBench Nubia Red Magic 5G, games like game for peace, a Chinese version of PUBG Mobile, the honor of kings another Chinese version of arena of valor clocked 90fps and 60fps respectively. Tencent Games develop both these games. Interestingly, Real Racing 3 touched 144 FPS on the Redmagic 5G. This should be very exciting for the gamers as the test proves the mettle of this gaming phone.
Red Magic 5G is expected to have the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset from Qualcomm.
There will be 16 GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. On the software side, the phone will ship with Android 10 out of the box.
It will have a 6.65-inch screen and 4400 mAh battery inside according to a leak from the Chinese Certification website, TENAA. And the company had teased an air-cooled fast charging solution of 55W for quick and safe charging.
The launch is expected to happen sometime in March in China.
