Nubia has finally unveiled its latest and greatest smartphone called Nubia Z40 Pro in the market of China and the smartphone was on the headlines for the past couple of days in the form of leaks as well as rumours and teasers. The smartphone is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon flagship mobile processor and it is also coming with the magnetic charging edition as well which is something very first in the Android smartphone industry. The smartphone also supports 80W fast charging solution and it is running on Android 12 out of the box. The device is featuring a boxy design and it is coming with an L-shaped camera design. It is also coming with an AG (anti-glare) glass sandwich design with a metal frame. It is worth mentioning that the device is also coming with a special edition as well and the same is themed after ‘The Outcast’ anime.
Specifications of Nubia Z40 Pro
The device features a 6.67-inch curved OLD display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 395 PPI, and up to 144Hz refresh rate. It is also featuring a 20:9 aspect ratio and the device features a punch-hole set up on the top of the screen. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and that is paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is running on the latest MyOS 12 based on Android 12 operating system.
Speaking about the camera department, the device features a triple camera setup on the back panel and that is in the combination of a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor with OIS, along with a 50MP 116° ultra-wide unit, and an 8MP 9x periscope shooter with OIS. It is also featuring a 16MP front facing camera.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, and USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Type-C). It is also featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor for the additional layer of security. The smartphone also supports dual stereo speakers with support for DTS:X Ultra, and an x-axis vibration motor.
The smartphone is housing a 5,00mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Pricing and availability
The pricing of the smartphone starts at ¥3,399 while the magnetic charging edition pricing start at ¥4,299 and the special edition smartphone is coming with a price tag of ¥4,699. The device will be available in the market of China from March 2.
