OnePlus 5T Sandstone White Limited Edition Listed On Company’s Global Website

Recently OnePlus pushed out a teaser in which people get their hands-on a new OnePlus device which has a textured finish. Some even said that this is OnePlus’s own sandstone finish. So it was pretty much clear that OnePlus is planning to launch a sandstone variant of OnePlus 5T. They were supposed to launch it on 5th January, but the device is now listed on the OnePlus Global website. So let’s see what special this Limited Edition packs in.

For those who don’t know, sandstone is OnePlus’s proprietary back finish which they used in their earlier flagship smartphones i.e. OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. But they OnePlus X they went to the glass back and with OnePlus 3 they completely have undergone to the metal body. Now after almost 2.5 years, OnePlus bought back the sandstone white variant on OnePlus 5T. This phone has white colour back and looks similar to recently launched Star Wars Limited Edition OnePlus 5T.

It has the same white coloured back but without Star Wars logos. But the main thing here is that they coated the sandstone feel on the metal back. And this is the most expensive method used by OnePlus to make backs. The Alert Slider has a red colour which is very familiar to OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition. And the front looks exactly same as regular Midnight Black OnePlus 5T, only black. If we look at the specifications, the phone is exactly same as OnePlus 5T.

Talking about the pricing and availability, this phone will only come with 8GB + 128GB storage option. And it’s priced same as OnePlus 5T Midnight Black Edition i.e. $559 (₹37,999). The phone will go on sale from 9th of January. Country availability is still a question.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking, OnePlus launched this variant for those who want the Sandstone feel and likes the look of Star Wars Edition, but don’t like Star Wars logo. It would be a good choice if OnePlus had launched the Sandstone Black colour. But what are your thoughts on this Edition? Do let us know in the comments below.
