OpenAI is all set to enter into the hardware segment as today we got a new piece of information that says the companies working on an AI-powered earphone project codenamed “Sweet Pea.”
It is expected to be designed by Jony Ive, Apple’s former chief design officer and the man behind some of the most iconic products of Apple. The upcoming device is expected to come with a pebble-shaped metal main unit paired with two capsule-like components that rest behind the ear.
The device will also come with a custom 2nm processor that is capable of handling most AI tasks locally. It is also reported that the upcoming device could replace many basic phone functions.
