As promised, the popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has unveiled its new Oppo Reno 8 series and the devices were introduced in the market of China. The newly unveiled smartphone series includes 3 devices namely the Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. The devices are coming with identical designing language along with similarities in the specifications as well. The smartphone series is also featuring the newly announced Snapdragon mid-range mobile processor as well. Specification details of Oppo Reno 8 series
Let’s start with the display department of the new smartphone series, the new Oppo Reno 8 and 8 Pro models are featuring a 6.43-inch display along with a punch-hole set up at the top left corner of the screen. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ features a 6.7-inch display with a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen. The smartphone series is coming with an AMOLED panel along with an FHD+ resolution and the Pro and Pro+ models are coming with a 120Hz refresh rate while the vanilla variant of the smartphone series features a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, all three devices of the smartphone series feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner for an additional layer of security.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 mobile processor while the Pro variant is powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and it is the world’s first smartphone with the new mobile chipset at its heart. Finally, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ which is the top end model of the series is coming with the power of the Dimensity 8100-Max chipset. All three devices of the smartphone series have up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Oppo Reno 8 series is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with an 80W fast charging solution.

Coming to the camera department, the latest Oppo Reno 8 series features a triple rear camera set up and the vanilla variant of the smartphone series is featuring a 50MP main sensor along with 2MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP macro lens. The Pro and Pro+ models have the same camera setup but it is coming with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor. Moreover, the smartphone series is also coming with the in-house MariSilicon X chip and the same is claimed to provide next-level photography capabilities and the same will also provide amazing results in lighting conditions as well. On the front, all three devices of the smartphone series feature a 32MP camera sensor.
Regarding the connectivity options, three smartphones are featuring Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C port among others. It is worth mentioning that the vanilla variant of the smartphone series is featuring a 3.5 mm headphone jack as well. The smartphone series is running on Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top.
Pricing and availability
The Oppo Reno 8 is priced at Yuan 2,499 for 8GB + 128GB, Yuan 2,699 for the 8GB + 256GB, and Yuan 2,999 for the 12GB + 256GB storage. The same storage options are available for the new Oppo Reno 8 Pro cost Yuan 2,999, Yuan 3,199, and Yuan 3,499 respectively.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ costs 3,699 for 8GB + 256GB and 3,999 Yuan for the 12GB + 256GB. The devices will be available in the market of China and there is no information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world.
