The popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has officially announced the launch date of its new version of custom skin dubbed OriginOS 7 and it is based on the Android 17 operating system. Vivo has confirmed that the upcoming OriginOS 7 will be announced on September 16 and it will be announced during the Vivo Developer Conference in China.
The upcoming update will come with translucent materials (also known as liquid glass UI), fluid animations, and lighting effects. The new translucent material design system has been named “light and shadow aesthetics” for OriginOS.

It is also revealed that the upcoming software version will come with Vivo’s pixel-level “see-through colour” technology that adjusts specific areas in real time. The new version will also feature a new liquid animation system. The Blue River rendering engine has been rebuilt around Virtual GPU 4.0 as well.
The new OriginOS 7 now creates a ripple effect when a button is pressed, while dragging across the screen changes light and shadow along the path. The lock screen gets the Liquid Themes feature, and more. You will also get a new Flash Card Theme that turns photos, characters, or places into lock screen cards.
It will also bring a new system-wide sticker library and you will be able to put stickers on the desktop, albums, wallpapers, or the Always-on Display (AOD).
