Gmail for android launched has launched a convenient new feature that enables its user to apply search filters that help them find specific emails. The new feature helps the user to find emails quickly using the filter email search results on their mobile device. The search filters are positioned below the search bar on the Gmail app (on Android phones). The search criteria can be anything of the user’s convenience such as a name, date, or timeframe. Gmail’s update allows users to choose from a list of suggested senders or search for emails from multiple senders while searching for emails by a sender.
In addition to this new feature personalized search results, the tech giant added new settings to the Google app (on Android), which allows the user to control or to turn off personalized search results.
The improved personalized search results for Gmail was announced by Google via a recent blog by the company. Google suggests search terms based on the information from user’s Gmail accounts like contacts, labels, or messages for quicker and accurate results. The new search filter feature is not applicable for messages in spam or trash.
While Android users flex the new personalized search results update, the feature matches the dedicated widget update for iOS which was released last year. The new feature started presenting itself on Android phones on September 20 and will be fully available by the end of October. It will be available to all kinds of Google users/customers including G Suite Basic and Business customers.
