As expected, today the new brand of the smartphone industry Poco has unveiled a new smartphone in the market of India and the device is dubbed as Poco X2, which was already in the headlines from the past couple of weeks. Before we get into the complete specification as well as other details of the device, let me say that the company confirmed that it is not a successor of Poco F1 which was the first device of the Poco and at that time the brand was a sub-brand of Xiaomi and the Poco X2 is a part of the new series and it is the first smartphone of the company after being an independent brand. Having said that, the new X2 appears to be a rebranded smartphone of the Redmi K30 smartphone.
Specifications of Poco X2
It sports a 6.67 inch full HD+ display with the 2340 X 1080 pixels resolution and offers a punch hole setup, it also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and paired with 6/8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the new device will support 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable via micro SD card.
Moving to the camera department, the new Poco X2 rocks quad rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of a 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, followed by an 8 megapixel super Wide Angle lens, 2 megapixel macro lens and 2 megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone supports dual front facing camera and that is in the combination of a 20 megapixel and 2 megapixel camera sensors. The smartphone is coming with face unlock and the side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with the traditional security features.
Regarding the connectivity, the new smartphone features 4G, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS (L1 + L2 Dual Band) + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The Poco X2 ships on a 4,500 mAh battery with 27W fast charging and that’s available in the box. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 10 OS out-of-the-box with MIUI 11 on top.
The 6 GB RAM with 64 GB variant is priced at ₹15,999 while the 6 GB RAM with 128 GB variant costs ₹16,999, and the 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage variant is priced at ₹19,999. The phone will be available from February 11th via Flipkart.
It is now clear that the company is giving a head to head competition to the hot choice Realme, as the company is currently providing the most affordable devices in the market and we believe that this will create yet another price war in the smartphone industry and we will get more affordable smartphones in the coming days.
