Qualcomm has announced its second generation 5G Cellular Modem Snapdragon X55 and a suite of 5G solutions for network operators and OEM’s.
The 7nm process Snapdragon X55 will allow Network operators and Smartphone manufacturers to improve speed and accelerate the pace of 5G rollouts across the world. The network ranges from 2G to 5G in a single chip. It also supports for sub-6GHz frequency bands and will work on standalone 5G networks also with 4G backends.
The guaranteed speed of 5G network for downloads will be up to 7Gbps and uploads will be up to 3Gbps. This network also supports Cat 22 LTE for up to 2.5Gbps along with matching 4G networks.

Mid 2019 and early 2020 will be having the entire phase of 5G networks tested and implemented all over the world since the research has been conducted for several years and the implementation level is in its peak with new technologies evolving each day.
