Back in last month, the popular mobile chipset makers Qualcomm unveiled Snapdragon 710 processor for the mid-range smartphones. Well, today the company has expanded its portfolio with three new chipsets – Snapdragon 632, Snapdragon 439, and Snapdragon 429.
With the new chips, the company has improved the performance as well as power consumption, better graphics processing, and brings the support for artificial intelligence. So, let’s check out the new chipsets in detail.
Let’s start with the Snapdragon 632, it comes with 40 percent better performance and packs with an eight Kyro 250 cores and supports Adreno 506 GPU. The chipset supports 24 megapixel single camera or dual 13 megapixel camera and it will give a resolution of FHD+. In terms of connectivity, the new chip supports X9 LTE modem to give faster data speed and it also supports the artificial intelligence.
It is built on FinFET but with 12nm instead. The chipset makers offer improvements in the performance as well as power efficiency. It is powered by an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 505 GPU. The chip also supports Full HD+ display. Speaking about the photography, it supports up to 21 megapixel single camera and up to 8 megapixel dual cameras. For connectivity, it supports X6 LTE modem.
It packs on quad-core SoC with 4x Cortex-A53 cores and supports Adreno 504 GPU, it also supports HD+ display. For camera, the chip supports 16 megapixel single camera and an 8 megapixel dual cameras. Talking about the connectivity, just like the Snapdragon 439, this chip also features the X6 LTE modem. Having said that, both the Snapdragon 439 and Snapdragon 429 are 25 percent power efficient compared to the predecessor.
Speaking about the availability, it is expected that the devices will come with the new chipsets in the second half of this year. The company hasn’t said the exact timeline.
