Qualcomm has officially announced the new Snapdragon X at the CES 2025 event and it is 4th chipset in the Snapdragon X series. So let’s get into the article to check out the full details.
Everything about Qualcomm Snapdragon X
The Snapdragon X is built on a 4nm process and the same features 8x Qualcomm Oryon cores, 64-bit architecture, up to 3.0GHz, along with a 30MB total cache. It has a Qualcomm Adreno GPU and up to 1.7 TFLOPS. The Snapdragon X offers Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, 45 TOPS, and Dual Micro NPU on the Qualcomm Sensing Hub.
It features up to 64GB 8-channel LPDDR5x, 8448 MT/s transfer rate, 135 GB/s bandwidth, 16-bit, along with SD v3.0, UFS 4.0, and NVMe SSD over PCIe Gen 4. The processor also supports Adreno DPU, up to UHD120Hz HDR10 (on-device display), 3 DisplayPort 1.4 external displays up to UHD60Hz HDR 10, and 2 external displays up to 5k60 or UHD120Hz.
The VPU includes Adreno VPU, Encode – 4K UHD 30 fps 8-bit recording, H.264, HEVC, and (H.265) AVI. It has Qualcomm Spectra ISP, Up to 36MP, and 4K HDR video capture. The Snapdragon X features Qualcomm Aqstic Audio and Qualcomm aptX Audio. It features Snapdragon X65 5G modem, 10 Gbps peak download speed, and 3.5 Gbps peak upload speed. The Snapdragon X features Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Mobile Connectivity system, Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, Bluetooth LE, 3x USB Type 4 (40Gbps), 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2, and 1x eUSB 2.
It is already confirmed that leading OEMs, including Dell Technologies, Lenovo, HP, ASUS, and Acer, will launch laptops in early 2025.
