We are hearing about the Realme 1 from the early days of this month, and a couple of days ago we got live images and specs details of the device. Well, now today the company has launched the device at an event in Amazon Blink Studio, Gurugram. Having said that, The Realme 1 is OPPO’s sub-brand. So, let’s check out the details of the newly launched Realme 1.

Let’s start with the design, the Realme 1 comes with a ‘Diamond Black’ design which is covered with glass and does look like a diamond thanks to the polygonal design patterns.


The all new Realme 1 sports 6 inch Full HD+ Full-screen display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and the device has 84.75% screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by Octa Core MediaTek Helio P60 processor as well as dual-core AI specific chip. The device is coming with three variants 3/4/6 GB of RAM, along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. In terms of storage, the 3 GB RAM variant has 32GB of internal storage, 4 GB RAM variant 64 GB of internal storage, and the 6 GB RAM variant of the device has 128 GB of internal storage. And if the storage is not enough for you then the device will allow you to expand the storage with a dedicated MicroSD card.

Moving to the photography department, the device has 13 megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash along with 8 megapixel front facing camera with portrait mode. Having said that, the company claims the device can recognize 296 facial points and offers AI stickers feature for both the front and rear cameras. Moreover, the camera also features HDR, Vivid and Bokeh modes powered by AI again. The device lacks fingerprint scanner but it has Face Unlock feature to give the security.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports Dual Hybrid SIM with Dual 4G connectivity along with other standard features such as GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM Radio, micro USB. Having said that, the device has the triple slot. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on ColorOS 5.0 and the device is backed on 3,410 mAh battery which has AI management as it will automatically close the background applications to give more power.

Pricing and availability

The 3 GB RAM variant has the price tag of ₹8,990, 4 GB RAM variant is priced at ₹10,990 and the 6 GB RAM variant of the device has the price tag of ₹13,990. The device will be available on Amazon and the first sale will take place on May 25 from 12 P.M. Having said that, only the 3 GB and 6 GB RAM will be available now and the 4 GB RAM variant will be launched later.

Offers with the device

Jio users will get benefits of ₹4850, and the users will get 5% cashback on the purchases through SBI debit or credit cards. The device will be available with no cost EMI and users will also with 80% off on the purchase of first Kindle ebook on Kindle Lite.
