RealMe is becoming an established brand in a very short period. Their affordable budget and mid-range smartphones attracted techies towards the brand and now the brand is in a complete situation to compete with Xiaomi, or Redmi to be more exact for the budget mid-range segment. A few weeks back they unveiled RealMe X in China, and the CEO tweeted that this smartphone will come to India as well. Now today, we have more on that.
RealMe CEO, Madhav Sheth, revealed some exciting information about the Indian launch of RealMe X. First he told that smartphone will launch in the country during 2nd half of 2019. This is surely not a very accurate date so we can expect it to get launch in June, or maybe Early July. Most important he also gave an idea about the starting configuration of this smartphone. The base variant of RealMe X will be priced between ₹18,000 to ₹20,000. With this we have a good idea that both RealMe X and RealMe 3 Pro won’t interfere with each other.
He said that they are yet to decide which storage configuration they will offer in India, so maybe they will launch just one storage variant. Regarding RealMe 3 Pro he revealed that it will get Theme Store in June. Regarding Android Pie update, every RealMe device will get the update which will be based on ColorOS 6. And they are planning for their own UI RealmeOS, and the work is in progress. But they didn’t revealed any time frame of this OS or any feature. So that’s all the information we have as of now. Looking at the estimated price of RealMe X, they should only launch 8GB + 128GB storage variant, because India is a very competitive market and I guess they know this better.
