After a decent amount of leaks and rumours, Redmi 7 finally launched officially and it’s a great budget-oriented smartphone, this is the fourth smartphone of the company after being an independent brand. The smartphone sports a 6.26 inch HD+ display with 1520 X 720 pixels resolution along with the 19:9 aspect ratio and it also has a waterdrop notch on the top of the display, the display of the device is protected with the Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 632 processor and paired with 2/3/4 GB of RAM along with Adreno 506 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device will be available in a couple of storage variants, the 2 GB RAM with 16 GB of internal storage, 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of storage, and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of onboard storage, and it also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot which will allow you to expand the storage upto 512 GB.
Coming to the camera department, the Redmi 7 rocks a dual camera set up at the back and that is a combination of 12 megapixel with f/2.2 aperture + 2 megapixel with LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with artificial intelligence features. The smartphone will also support the fingerprint scanner to give an additional layer of security to the users.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack, and FM Radio. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 with MIUI 10, and the device ships on 4,000 mAh battery.
Pricing and availability of Redmi 7
The 2 GB RAM variant is priced at ¥699, the 3 GB variant has the price tag of ¥799, and the top variant which is the 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of storage variant will be yours for ¥999. The smartphone will be available for pre-orders in China from today and the sale will start from March 26.
