As expected, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7A in the market of India after unveiling the device in May. The company has launched the device in India with some changes than the original variant, which means the Indian variant of the Redmi 7A comes with special features and more powerful. The smartphone sports 5.45-inch HD+ display with 1440 X 720 pixels resolution along with an 18:9 aspect ratio, the screen of the device is also slightly curved to the sides which will give a compact feeling. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and paired with 2GB and 3GB of RAM, but the company launched only the 2GB RAM variant in India, and also comes with Adreno 505 GPU. In terms of storage, the device comes with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage and that can be expandable up to 256 GB via MicroSD card.
Moving to the photography department, the Indian variant of the Redmi 7A rocks a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 camera with PDAF and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The company will also bring an AI Scene Detection feature through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The 16GB storage variant is priced at ₹5,999 and 32GB storage variant will be yours for ₹6,199, but the company offers the device with ₹200 discount on both the variants as an introductory offer. The smartphone will go on sale from July 11 and it will be available via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
