As expected, Redmi has launched its new flagship devices and that includes Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, both the smartphones come with similar specifications and also offers front facing camera in a pop-up mechanism to provide a maximum viewing experience. Specifications of Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition
Both the devices sports a 6.67 in full HD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and the devices also comes with HDR10+ rating along with 1,200 nits of peak brightness and 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, it also has a 100% DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Unfortunately, it offers the traditional 60hz refresh rate and the devices come with a 92.7% screen to body ratio.
The smartphones are powered by an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with the 6/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage with UFS 3.1 and that can’t be expandable.
Talking about the photography department, both the smartphones rocks a quad rear camera setup and the Redmi K30 Pro comes with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), followed by a 5-megapixel macro camera, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While the K30 Pro Zoom Edition comes with a similar camera setup but it comes with an 8-megapixel telephoto lens (instead of 5-megapixel) with 30x zoom capability. Both the devices feature a 20-megapixel pop-up front camera. For security, both the devices supports the in-display fingerprint scanner.
Regarding the connectivity options, both the devices support 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, and USB Type-C port. The smartphones runs Android 10 OS out-of-the-box with the MIUI 11 on top and also has the Game Turbo 3.0. It ships on a 4,700 mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology.
Pricing and availability
The pricing of the Redmi K30 Pro starts at CNY 2,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB variant will cost 3,399 CNY, and the 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 3,699. On the other hand, the K30 Pro Zoom Edition has a price tag of CNY 3,799 for the 8GB + 128GB, while the 8GB + 256GB variant will cost CNY 3,999. Both the devices will available in China from March 27 and there is no information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world.
