As we are talking about from many days, finally today Xiaomi launched the successor of there Redmi Note 3, The ‘Redmi Note 4’. We all know how great was the Redmi Note 3, even now before the launch of Redmi Note 4, it was one of the best value for money phone in India. It started a new trend of bigger battery size in the budget to mid-range category. There are some new changes and improvements on Redmi Note 4 compared to Redmi Note 3. So let’s have a look at them.
This Redmi Note 3 sports a 5.5” Full HD 1080p display with 2.5D glass on top, as always there’s no mention about screen protection. Under the hood it has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked at 2.0Ghz with Adreno 506 GPU. It will rise the battery life of Redmi Note 4 upto 25% as mention by them at the launch event, that’s because Snapdragon 625 is built on 14nm FinFET manufacturing technology that leads to the efficiency in processors, no compromise in performance and no heating issues as well. Coming to the storage this phone comes in three variants that are 2GB/32GB variant, 3GB/32GB variant and 4GB/64GB variant. All three comes with expandable storage upto 128GB. Regarding camera it has 13MP BSI CMOS rear facing camera with PDAF, 1.12 micron pixel size and dual tone LED flash. For selfies it has a 5MP camera at the front.

It sports a slightly larger 4100mah battery compared to 4050mah battery with Redmi Note 3 but as it has Snapdragon 625, the battery life will be improved between 20 – 25%. The size also remained the same at 8.45mm but feels thinner because of the shamfered edges. Regarding software it runs on Android 6.0.1 marshmallow with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 8 on top. The preview built of Android 7.0 nougat will be available for this phone. It has supports of 4G VoLTE. This phone has hybrid SIM support. The fingerprint sensor is at the back same as Redmi Note 3.

It comes in three different colours that are Grey, Gold and a new Black as well. The 2GB/32GB variant is priced at Rs.9999, the 3GB/32GB variant at Rs.10999 and 4GB/64GB variant at Rs.12999. Redmi Note 4 will be available on Xiaomi’s official website and Flipkart on 23rd January at 12PM, via flash sales.
