Redmi Note 7 Pro & Redmi Note 7 Announced In India

Back in January Redmi unveiled their 2019 Note smartphone, the Redmi Note 7. That was not just Redmi, but Xiaomi’s first ever smartphone to feature a whopping 48MP Camera sensor. From the day of launch, many rumours of Redmi Note 7 Pro are popping up. This Pro variant is expected to have even better processor and better camera sensor. Today in India, Redmi Note 7 Pro got unveiled along with Redmi Note 7. But last year Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 of China as Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. So does the same happen this year also? Let’s find out.

Redmi Note 7 Pro:

Starting of with display, it sports 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution and 409ppi. It has 19.5:9 aspect ratio with dot notch on the top. The front as well as back of the phone is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 protection with 2.5D curved glass. It comes with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 675 octa core processor clocked at 2.0Ghz along built on 11nm process. For gaming it has Adreno 612 GPU. It has 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage along with expandable storage.

On the camera side, it has dual rear camera setup with whopping 48MP primary camera. It’s not the Samsung ISO-Cell sensor, but the much better Sony IMX586 sensor. It has f1.79 aperture, 0.8mm lens which converts into 1.6mm lens with super pixel binning, EIS, and PDAF. The secondary camera is a 5MP depth sensor with f2.4 lens. It can record videos up to 4k at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. On the front there is a 13MP sensor with front portrait as well. This device has those AI camera features like scene detection, studio lighting, etc.

This Redmi Note 7 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with MIUI 10 on top. It packs in a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back. For connectivity it has dual 4G VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR Blaster, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Type-C port. It comes with Space Black, Neptune Blue, and Nebula Red color options.

Redmi Note 7:

This is the same smartphone that was unveiled in China last month. The Redmi Note 7 sports the same 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution and 409ppi. It has 19.5:9 aspect ratio with dot notch on the top. The front as well as back of the phone is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 protection with 2.5D curved glass. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 octa core processor clocked at 2.2Ghz built on 14nm process. For gaming it has Adreno 512 GPU. In terms of storage, the device has two storage variants 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage along with expandable storage.

On the camera side, it has dual rear camera setup with whopping 48MP primary camera. It’s the Samsung ISO-Cell sensor, which is not as good as Sony IMX586 sensor, but still a decent sensor. It has f1.79 aperture, 0.8mm lens which converts into 1.6mm lens with super pixel binning, EIS, and PDAF. The secondary camera is a 5MP depth sensor with f2.4 lens. It can record videos up to 4k at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. On the front there is a 13MP sensor with front portrait as well. So that’s all the information we have as of now. Initially we all thought that Redmi will either launch Redmi Note 7 or Note 7 Pro in India, but they surprised us by launching both the smartphones. Both the smartphones are well packed and the pricing is also very aggressive. But the most value for money variant amongst both devices is Redmi Note 7 Pro with 4+64GB configuration. Others are also very good but this one is best value in the market as of now.
