Just a couple of days ago, we updated that the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi is making the Redmi as an independent brand, the company also confirmed to launch the first phone under the Redmi branding and the company unveiled the logo of the Redmi ahead of the launch event of the new device. Well, now Xiaomi has three sub-brands under its belt and all the three brands will deliver different category of Smartphones.

Well, as said earlier the company has launched its first smartphone under the Redmi and the device is called Redmi Note 7. The device is coming with 48 megapixel rear camera and it also has a good designing setup. So, without wasting any time let’s dive into the article to check out the specification, pricing, and availability details of the newly unveiled Redmi Note 7.

Specification of Redmi Note 7

The Redmi Note 7 sports 6.3 inch full HD+ display and has 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 2.5D curved glass design. The device is coming with a waterdrop like notch on the top of the display. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset and the device is paired with 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device has two storage variants – you will get 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable via microSD card.

The main highlight of the device is its camera department, the device is coming with the dual camera set up at the back and that is in the combination of 48 megapixel + 5 megapixel. The primary lens is developed by Samsung, its called GM1 and it’s a massive 1.6 micron size sensor, the largest yet for a smartphone camera. The company claims that the pictures taken on this are poster-level HD photos for printing use. The device also has a 13 megapixel front facing camera for the selfies and video calls. The device also comes with the fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock feature to give the additional layer of security to the users. Having said that, the device rocks USB Type-C port but it didn’t get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Regarding the connectivity options, the device 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port, and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device runs on MIUI 10 which is based on Android 9.0 and ships on 4,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability of Redmi Note 7

The 3 GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage variant is priced at 999 Yuan (approx. 10,500), the 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage will retail at 1199 Yuan (₹12,000 approx.) and the 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant will go for 1399 Yuan (₹14,000 approx.). Right now, we don’t have any information about the availability of the device in the Indian market but we will bring it to your fingertips once the company announce it.
