As promised, today Redmi has launched its new member of the Note 9 series in the market of India, and the latest smartphone is dubbed as Redmi Note 9. The smartphone offers a pocket-friendly price tag and comes with the quad rear camera setup along with the punch-hole design at the top left corner of the screen to accommodate the front facing camera under the display and also to provide the maximum viewing experience to the users.
Specifications of Redmi Note 9
Its powered by the new Mediatek Helio G85 and Mali-G52 GPU power it. The display is a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution.
The smartphone houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera. In the back, we have a 48-megapixel primary camera, which is the same GM1 sensor from Samsung. The other three rear cameras are the same across the Redmi Note 9 Series with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle and two 2-megapixel sensors for depth sensing and macro mode.
The battery capacity is the same 5,020 mAh, and the 18 Watt charger is present here too. The RAM configurations are 4GB and the storage is fixed at 64 GB or 128 GB capacity. The phone ships with MIUI 11 on top of Android 10. The extra features include an IR blaster, NFC, a fingerprint scanner at the back, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
The base variant which is 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage comes with a price tag of ₹11,999 while the 4GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage is priced at ₹13,499, and the high-end variant i.e. 6GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage will cost ₹14,999. The smartphone will available from July 24 at 12 p.m. IST via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
