Samsung has announced the world’s first 5G modem compatible with 3GPP standards, Exynos Modem 5100.
Exynos Modem 5100, world’s first 5G Modem with 3GPP compatible which is nothing but 3rd Generation Partnership Project. The new modem is built on 10-nanometer process technology which also supports Legacy radio access technologies completely fabricated into a single chipset. This Exynos Modem 5100 comes with sub-6GHz and mmWave spectrums support. This proves that Modem is capable of delivering maximum download speed up to 2Gbps in ultimate 5G settings.
This Exynos Modem 5100 also supports legacy networks like 2G GSM/CDMA, 3G WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, HSPA, and 4G LTE. Samsung Claims that this chipset will also make way for possibilities to get Downlink speed up to 1.6Gbps on 4G Networks.
Qualcomm has already unveiled its 5G mode model X50, There were several technological leaders traveling on the same line to lead the 5G network race among them. Still, 4G Network in certain areas is not optimized to deliver the maximum downlink speed. Do you think 5G will be a solution to low-speed internet and communication service until we experience True 4G network speed? Please let us know in the comments section below.
