The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has announced a brand new Chromebook at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 event. The newly-announced Samsung Galaxy Chromebook and that is a premium 2-in-1 device. So, let’s check out the complete details of the device.
It is worth to mention that the latest device is the first Chromebook from the company which will have the Galaxy branding. The all new Galaxy Chromebook is a 2-in-1 device, and it has an aluminum body and the display is surrounded by a 3.9mm thin bezels. The device also features a 13.3 inch 4K AMOLED display with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the new Galaxy Chromebook is powered by Intel’s 10th generation Core i5 processor with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD.
The device also offers with a 1 MP camera for video calling and there’s another 8 MP camera above the keyboard and that’s meant to capture photos in the tablet mode. Furthermore, the device also accommodates with a stylus that fits in a slot just beside the USB Type-C port.
It also comes with Google Assistant, along with stereo speakers (2W x 2), and a backlit keyboard. The device also has a fingerprint scanner for an additional layer of security. It supports WiFi 6 for superfast connectivity and as for the ports, there are 2 X USB-C ports, a 3.5mm microphone, audio combo jack, and a UFS/MicroSD card slot.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the pricing starts at $999 and is slated to go on sale later this quarter.
