The South Korean electronics giant Samsung is gearing up to launch the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy AI on January 17 and the devices floating online for the past few months on a regular basis. Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus
According to the latest information, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and it will also support HDR10+, Always On, Eye Comfort Shield, and Vision Booster. The device will come with the power of the Samsung Exynos 2400 mobile processor along with 128/256GB internal storage paired with 8GB RAM.
It will feature a 50 MP wide-angle lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical magnification, and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The device will come with a 12 MP shooter with dual-pixel autofocus on the front. The device will support camera features including 100x Space Zoom (exclusive to the S24 Ultra), Nightography video, Super HDR, 8K video recording, and various shooting modes.
Samsung will be offering an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, Armor Aluminum frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor protection. The vanilla variant will be housing a 4000 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging capabilities. They will support USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6e, and NFC. The device will be running on the Android 14 operating system out of the box. It will be available in Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, Onyx Black, and Marble Gray colour options.
On the other hand, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus features a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display and the remaining details are the same as the vanilla variant. It also comes with the same Samsung Exynos 2400 processor but with 256/512GB internal storage and 12GB RAM.
It will also feature a 50 MP wide-angle lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens, and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, along with a 12 MP front camera. The device will be coming with a 4900 mAh battery along with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The device also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, Armor Aluminum frame, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. It supports UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology and other connectivity options are the same as the vanilla variant. The colour options are also the same as the vanilla variant. Both devices feature Wireless PowerShare, Samsung Health, Wireless Samsung DeX, and various software functionalities such as Bixby Assistant, Secure Folder, and Samsung Knox.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Moving to the king of the upcoming lineup, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display along with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3120 x 1440 pixels resolution. The device comes with the power of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy along with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options and 12GB of RAM. The device will run on the Android 14 operating system out of the box.
It will feature a quad camera setup on the back panel with laser autofocus and LED flash. The device features a 200 MP wide-angle lens with an F/1.7 aperture, Super Quad Pixel autofocus, OIS, and a Super Clear Lens along with the duo telephoto lenses include a 50 MP lens with 5x optical magnification and a 10 MP lens with 3x optical magnification, both features advanced autofocus technologies and OIS. The device also supports a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with dual pixel autofocus and a 120° field of view. It also comes with a 12 MP shooter with dual pixel autofocus on the front.
The device also supports S Pen support, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a titanium frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor. It supports Wireless PowerShare, Wireless Samsung DeX, and Link to Windows. The device features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos as well. The device supports Samsung Health, Bixby Assistant, Bixby Routines, and Secure Folder for enhanced functionality. It houses a large 5000 mAh capacity with fast charging capabilities of 45W wired and 15W wireless, including Wireless PowerShare functionality.
Samsung will be supporting the device with USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, WiFi Direct, Miracast, NFC, and UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology. It will be available in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow color options.
It is also reported that the vanilla variant will have a starting price of 899 euros, while the S24 Plus variant will start at 1149 euros and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be starting at 1149 euros.
