Last year Samsung went through it’s one of the most disaster moment. The time when Galaxy Note 7 launched. We all know about the blast issue of Note 7 units and how it turned to be the biggest failure of Samsung. Even the replaced unit has that issue, so finally Samsung had to call back all the Note 7 and had to shut down the Note 7. So what’s the reason behind the Note 7 blast ? Why this blast issue occurred even after the replacement ? Finally today Samsung answered to this question. A press conference was held by Samsung & there they explained the issue in brief. So what’s the reason behind the biggest disaster for Samsung ? Let’s find out.

Many people were thinking that Samsung hasn’t fixed the issue with there replaced Note 7 units, but that’s not the case. Actually Samsung solved the issue with the first batch of Note 7, but an another problem occurred in the replaced unit. We will divide both the issues in two paragraphs so let’s see what are the issues:
1. Issue with 1st Batch of Galaxy Note 7 (Battery A):
There are two electrodes by which the current pass, Cathode (+v) electrodes and Anode (-v) electrodes. In lithium ion batteries the Anode electrodes should not be deflected or bend, but in Note 7’s batteries it was deflected as seen in the ‘Battery A’ diagram. If the Anode electrodes deflect, the current passing get’s unbalanced, which leads to the short circuit in batteries and via short circuit, explosion of battery.
2. Issue with 2nd Batch of Galaxy Note 7 (Battery B):
As I said in the 1st batch issue, there are two types of electrodes, Cathode (+ve) and Anode (-ve) electrodes. Both electrodes are parallel and there’s a protective layer between both cathode and anode electrodes to separate them as seen in the ‘Battery B’ diagram. Both electrodes should be separated from each other because if they will meet or join together, a short circuit will occur. & That leads to battery blast that occurred in this case as well.
So now as Samsung got to know both the issues, we should expect that Samsung will overcome with the issue and will make the next Note 8 safe. What are your thoughts on both the causes ? Do let us know in the comments and stay tuned with us for more information.
