It was previously reported that Samsung will be part of Qualcomm’s next generations Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy will be developed by Samsung on the basis of its 2nm process. However, this is not going to happen according to a new piece of information. So let’s get into the article to check out the new report.
We previously heard that Qualcomm would source its upcoming mobile processor from both TSMC and Samsung, and the next generation Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with the power of a Samsung-made version—codenamed SM8850-S—built on the company’s 2nm GAA node.
But today we got a new information from X user @Jukanlosreve, and the source says that Qualcomm has dropped the SM8850-S identifier from its documentation, so there will be no Samsung version of the processor.
So let’s wait for more details about the upcoming processor and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates from the world of technology.
