The Government of India and telecom Department are taking various measures to protect the users in the country and in the latest attempt, the authorities have asked the smartphone brands to preload the Sanchar Saathi app on the devices.
Moreover, it is also said that the authorities have provided only 90 days to do the job. It is also said that users can’t able to disable the application on the device as well.
This particular scenario will create problems for Apple, as the company never installed any government or third party applications in its devices, and Apple installs its self-developed applications in iPhone models.
With the new instruction, the authorities are looking forward to adding more security. The Sanchar Saathi app is said to be effective in preventing cyber threats and tracking and blocking stolen phones.
The application is also said to help police track the stolen devices and keep counterfeit phones out of the black market.
