The device comes with a book style folding design and the device is called the iPhone Duo. Apple has introduced its first folding device with the power of the Apple A20 Pro processor which is based on a 2nm process and the device also features a 48-megapixel main shooter. The device also supports MagSafe wireless charging along with a 7.6 inch primary display and the device runs on iOS 27 out of the box. Everything about iPhone Duo
Apple has launched the iPhone Duo globally with eSIM support only for connectivity and it is said that the removal of physical SIM helped the company to create more space for the battery of the device.
The device comes with a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR foldable display on the inside along with a custom Nano Texture finish for a minimal visible crease in the middle and reduced reflection. The device also comes with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The inner display of the device is also made from a custom polymer with a high-strength glass on top.
Apple offers the iPhone Duo with a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR cover display and the device sports Ceramic Shield protection on the outer screen and the rear panel. Both display panels feature a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on iOS 27, and the company has customised the operating system for the iPhone Duo. It will be offering features including split view for better multitasking, partial-folded use, and the ability to enter Standby even when the device is not charging.
We will also get an updated status, as a flexible circular interface will be available in a corner and shows Wi-Fi, cellular signal, and battery level. The Dynamic Island is redesigned for the side of both screens and expands to showcase alerts and Live Activities.

The newly announced iPhone Duo is powered by the new A20 Pro processor at its heart, and the chipset is built on a 2nm process. The chipset features a six-core CPU with two new “Super Cores” that offer 20 percent faster performance, along with four new efficiency cores. The processor also features a seven-core GPU, and it will be offering 40 percent faster graphics performance along with increased bandwidth. The processor also comes with new Neural Accelerators with 2x faster FP8 performance.
It also comes with a dual Neural Engine setup, with a total of 32 cores. So the new Apple A20 Pro SoC is claimed to offer 50 percent increased memory bandwidth and the processor is 40 percent more powerful than the A19 Pro SoC. Apple is also offering the device with the Apple C2 Modem as well.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest iPhone Duo features a dual rear camera setup that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel Fusion Camera, offering 2x optical zoom along with a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide camera. The phone can be able to record videos at up to 4K/120 fps. The device also comes with a Centre Stage camera, and the company offers the device with an under-display FaceTime camera. The device comes with a 12-megapixel front facing camera.
The latest iPhone Duo is claimed to offer “all-day battery life”, and it also supports fast charging. Apple says that 5 minutes of charge will offer 5 hours of video playback. It has MagSafe wireless charging. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Emergency SOS as well as Messages and Find My via satellite. The device is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. In terms of connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port among others for connectivity.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the pricing of the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 with 256GB of storage, and goes up to $2,199 with 512GB, $2,599 with 1TB, and $3,199 with 2TB. Interested customers can pre-order the device from October 16 and it will be available from October 23. The company has also promised to start supporting the Apple Pencil for the iPhone Duo later this year.
Coming to the pricing of the device in India, the price of the iPhone Duo starts at Rs. 2,99,900 for the base 256GB option. Meanwhile, the 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage options are priced at Rs. 3,24,900, Rs. 3,74,900, and 4,49,900, respectively. The latest iPhone Duo is available in Star White and Night Sky colour options.
