The Japanese electronics giant Sony is believed to launch the new Sony Xperia 1 VII in the near future and today the 5K CAD renders along with a 360-degree video appear online via XpertPick and tipster OnLeaks, offering the first look at the device. It is expected to be announced in May this year. So let’s get into the article to check out the new piece of information.
Going through the renders, the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VII is not coming with a huge design change and the device features a 6.5-inch screen with thicker bezels on the top and bottom. The top bezel of the device has a 12MP selfie camera. The power button of the device will also work as a fingerprint sensor and there will be a camera shutter button on the right side. The device also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VII also features dual front speakers and the bottom of the device houses a SIM/microSD slot, a USB-C port, and another microphone. The back of the device features a vertical camera setup that will be the combination of a 48MP main camera with image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP periscope telephoto lens that can zoom from 70 to 200mm.
It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh or bigger battery with 30W charging. The device is also expected to come with a 4K resolution OLED panel with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The device will come with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate and it will be running on the Android 15 operating system out of the box.
