The popular mobile chipset maker MediaTek is now reported to launch its new processor – Dimensity 8000 and the same will power mid-range smartphones. The important specifications of the mobile processor surfaced online and it is expected that the company will launch the processor next year. It is reported that MediaTek is planning to launch Dimensity 8000 chip and that will be built on TSMC’s 5nm process and the same will feature four Cortex A78 cores that clock in at 2.75GHz and four Cortex A55 cores that have a 2.0GHz clock speeds. It is also reported that the upcoming mobile chipset will support the Mali G510 MC6 GPU.
The tipster also claims that the upcoming Dimensity 8000 chip will support FHD+ displays with up to 168Hz refresh rate or QHD+ displays with 120Hz refresh rate. The processor will be capable to offer LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and it will feature up to 75W fast charging solution.
It is also reported that the upcoming MediaTek mobile processor will be powered by certain Redmi and Realme smartphones.
