Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra launched
AI is the main highlighting element of the device and the device includes Now Brief, this feature can offer important information summarized in one place including the weather information and your energy score. Samsung has also introduced the NowBar which is capable of showing certain important information right on the lock screen. It is similar to the dynamic island of Apple iPhone models. Samsung has also enhanced the Galaxy AI and the same can generate call transcripts and summarize them on-device.
It comes with a 6.9″ QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Armor 2. The device has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor along with 12 + 256GB, 12 + 512GB , and 12GB + 1TB storage options. The device runs on Android 15 with One Ui 7 and the device will be getting 7 years of software and security updates.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree FOV, 200MP wide camera with OIS, 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, OIS, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The device also features a 12MP front camera. The device houses a large 5,000mAh battery along with a 45W fast charging. The device includes features such as 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and Qi2 wireless charging standard.
Samsung Galaxy S25 & Galaxy S25 Plus unveiled
Both devices come with AI features just like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the devices feature 6.2-inch and 6.7″ displays respectively. The vanilla variant features an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display while the Plus model comes with a QHD+ resolution.
The devices come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The devices also come with a larger VC cooling. Both devices come with 12 GB of RAM and the variant comes with up to 256 GB of internal storage while the Plus variant comes with up to 512 GB of internal storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the devices feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field of view, a 50MP wide camera with OIS, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, and the devices also feature a 12MP front camera. The devices house 4000mAh and 4900mAh batteries and support 25W and 45W wired charging respectively. Both devices run on Android 15 with One UI 7 out of the box. Both devices feature 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and Qi2 wireless charging standard.
Telecom companies introduce voice and SMS only packages
TRAI implemented a mandatory rule last month and asked telecom companies to offer more control in the hands of customers. So the companies introduced new packages with SMS and voice calling facilities only which means there will be no data in the package. The packages will be beneficial for those who don’t want mobile internet.
Let’s start with Jio, the company introduced Rs 458 package with 84 days validity along with unlimited voice calling and 1,000 SMS. The company also offers Rs 1,958 package and it will be valid for 365 days. The package will also feature unlimited voice calling and 3,600 SMS. Both plans come with access to JioTV, JioCloud, and JioCinema. The packages can be recharged via the official website of the company.
Coming to Airtel, the company announced the Rs 499 prepaid plan with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls along with 900 SMSs. This particular package comes with a validity of 84 days. This package also offers free Hellotunes for a month and three months of Apollo24x7 Circle subscription. So there will be no data in the package. Airtel has also announced the Rs 1,959 prepaid plan that offers 365 days of validity along with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls as well as 3600 SMSs. The package also comes with free three months of Apollo24x7 Circle subscription and you will be allowed to set one Hellotune per month for free.
Now let’s talk about Vodafone Idea, the network has announced the Rs 1460 package and the same comes with 270 days of validity. The latest package also comes with unlimited voice calls along with 100 SMS.
TikTok ban is lifted in the United States
It is announced that the ban on TikTok is lifted in the markets of the United States and the company showcased its gratitude to the newly elected president of The United States and that is Donald Trump.
The company has also revealed that the government provided the necessary clarity and the social media application can able to resume its operation in the United States without any special restrictions.
Android 16 Beta 1 released
Google has released the first Android 16 public beta and it focuses on screen adaptability which means you guys feel better and an improved experience on large screen devices and the beta version of Android 16 also brings live updates which is a feature similar to live activities on iOS. This particular feature will keep showing the important notifications on the lock screen, so you will never miss you any important notifications. The upcoming Android 16 also brings the support of native advanced professional video and the predictive animations which was introduced in Android are now available across all the applications.
