Welcome everyone to this week’s Weekly Round-up of TechnoBugg. In this series of Weekly Round-up, we will showcase Top 5 trending news of this week as well as 2 mentioned news which is very interesting but can’t make their way to the Top 5 list. This week is trending for Vivo, Xiaomi, & more. So, let’s have a look at this week’s Top 5 trending news.
1. Vivo NEX Launched in India:

Back in June Vivo unveiled their flagship smartphone, the Vivo NEX S. This is a mirror of the future of the smartphone industry. Now this week, Vivo launched this in the most popular smartphone market, India. It offers true flagship experience like Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, and more. But apart from casual flagship features this phone has some futuristic features like almost bezel-less display, mechanical pop-up front camera, and in-display fingerprint sensor. But for the price, I feel they should have gone for near stock UI or at least enhanced UI which will look original rather than the copy of iOS. For detailed coverage on this news, Click Here.
2. Xiaomi Unveiled Mi Max 3:

After a lot of leaks and rumours and talks about Xiaomi’s midrange phablet phone, finally this week the company has unveiled the Mi Max 3 in China. This is one of a kind device in its price segment because hardly any other smartphone has this big size with this good specs. Though some devices like Samsung Galaxy J Max launched with bigger displays at this price, it can’t do well. Now coming back to Mi Max 3, this is typically a larger variant of Xiaomi’s most demanding Redmi Note 5 Pro. Apart from the bigger display, it has the bigger battery, 4k video recording and larger aperture in the rear primary camera. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.
3. Nokia X5 Unveiled with Notch Display:

The Notch above the display is a trend of 2018 and most of the brand are jumping into this notch design now. Even in the budget to midrange smartphones, we can see devices with the notch. Now Nokia also unveiled their first device with a notch in the budget to midrange category, the Nokia X5. This is the second notched device in Nokia’s portfolio after the mid-range Nokia X6. Apart from the notch, this Nokia X5 has MediaTek’s most popular Helio P60 processor which is a very competitive processor to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660. All other features are good except the display. It just has an HD+ 720p display which seems to be low by 2018’s display standards. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.
4. Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite’s Launch Date Confirmed:

After getting a lot of leaks and rumours and guess in Mi A2 (especially the launch date itself), Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Mi A2 and it’s going to launch on 24th July i.e. tomorrow. This is the Global launch of this device and the event is set in Spain. The good thing is apart from Mi A2, there will be a Mi A2 Lite as well. Based on previous leaks, I think that regular Mi A2 will fit in upper mid-range segment whereas the Lite version will be placed in the mid-range segment. What are your expectations for tomorrow’s launch? Let us know in the comments below. For detailed coverage on this news Click Here.
5. Corning Unveiled Gorilla Glass 6:

If we think about the display protection in smartphones, the only brand which comes in our mind is Corning, or in simple words Corning’s Gorilla Glass. They provide some excellent protection from scratches and minor drops without losing the display quality. This week they announced their latest version of protection i.e. Gorilla Glass 6. This is said to survive drops up to 15 drops from the height of 1 meter, only time will tell the actual stat. The company says that its 2.5x better as compared to current Gorilla Glass 5.
