1. Apple iPhone 11 Leads the Global Shipment of Smartphones in Q1 2020
The Q1 smartphone shipments for 2020 results are out, and Apple iPhone 11 leads the race. Even as the world is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple managed to come out on top. The research firm Omdia shared the results, showing which top 10 smartphones to ship worldwide from Q1 of 2020. The other notable entries in the list are Samsung Galaxy A51 shipping a total of 6.8 million units, claiming the second position. Xiaomi holds the third and fourth position with Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro shipping 6.6 million and 6.1 million units, respectively. 2. Realme Unveils Lifestyle Products for India via Online Event
Realme presented a total of 3 LIfestyle products for the Indian market last week. After months of leaks and rumors, Realme India finally unveiled the Realme TV that runs Android OS. The smart television comes in two screen sizes; 32 inch HD display with 1366 X 768 pixels resolution and 43 inches full HD display with 1920 X 1080 pixels resolution. The company also presented its first Smartwatch called Realme Watch. It sports a 1.4-inch Touchscreen 2.5D curved display with 320 x 320 pixels resolution and the same is protected with Gorilla Glass 3, along with 323 PPI pixel density as well as 380 nits brightness. It has a heart rate sensor, sports mode, sleep tracker, and notification sync from your smartphone. Lastly, Realme unveiled a lighter version of the Realme Buds Air TWS Earphone dubbed ad Realme Buds Air Neo. It comes with 13mm audio drivers and supports Bluetooth 5.0. 3. Xiaomi Unveils RedmiBook with AMD Ryzen CPU
Earlier this week, Xiaomi unveiled 3 brand new laptops under the RedmiBook moniker in China. These laptops come in three different screen sizes – 13-inches, 14-inches, and 16-inches. The RedmiBooks are having AMD Ryzen Processors inside and have up to 1 TB of SSD storage to boot. All three RedmiBooks come with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a screen-to-body ratio of over 90%. They are available for pre-order in China as of now. Xiaomi is teasing the launch of their Laptops in India very soon. We could very well see Xiaomi bringing AMD Ryzen powered laptops to India with an aggressive price tag. 4.OnePlus To Unveil Affordable Smartphones In India Soon
According to Pete Lau CEO of OnePlus, the company is all set to unveil affordable smartphones very soon and it will be official in the market of India before any other part of the world. He has also said that the company will launch the affordable devices in the market of Europe and North America but later this year. This strategy change is rumored to begin with the launch of OnePlus Z in India very soon. According to several leaks, the OnePlus Z is expected to be powered by either Meditek DImensity 1000 or Snapdragon 765. The Rs. 30K price bracket smartphone will have 4,000 mAh battery and capable optics in terms of hardware. 5. Realme X3 SuperZoom Unveiled With 5x Optical Zoom Support
After many leaks and teasers, Realme has launched its new smartphone called Realme X3 SuperZoom and the device is launched in the market of Europe. It features a 6.6 inch full HD+ super AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor along with 8/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Realme X3 SuperZoom features a 64-megapixel primary camera followed by an 8-megapixel sensor with a periscope lens as well as a 5x optical zoom or 60x digital zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS).
