Samsung Unpacked Event Launches 5 New Devices

Last week, the Korean electronic giant unveiled five new products for the world. These include Galaxy Note 20 Series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7 Series, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live. The star of the show was of course the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra along with the new Galaxy Z Fold 2. Speaking of Galaxy Note 20 Series, the Note 20 Ultra packed all the punch. It comes with the latest Snapdragon 865 Plus with 5G for selected markets. Other features include 6.9 inches Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x Curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It rocks a triple rear camera setup and that is in a combination of a 108-megapixel primary sensor which can shoot videos in 8K resolution at 24 FPS or at 1080P resolution. The other two cameras include a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/3.0 aperture that supports up to 5X optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultrawide angle sensor. The other smartphone showcased was the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which now comes with improved hinge strength and more durability. It has a larger 6.2-inch punch-hole display that occupies the front when folded. But unfolded is when the magic starts as it grows into a 7.7-inch AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2,213 x 1,689 pixels along with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This makes the new display 13.5% larger than its predecessor. Now the Galaxy Z Fold 2 houses the selfie camera inside a punch hole rather than an odd-looking notch and the display is now covered with an extra-thin layer of glass for added durability. Rest of the hardware and features match the Galaxy Note 20.

2. Google Pixel 4A Announced Officially

Starting with the display, the smartphone sports a 5.81-inch full HD+ OLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and it also features a punch hole to house the selfie camera which is a first in the Series. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 730G processor from Qualcomm and the device is paired with 6 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone supports 128 GB of internal storage with the UFS 2.1 storage and it does not have the option to expand the storage.
Speaking about the photography department, the Pixel Series is known to produce best in class pictures with a single camera. Riding on that technology the Google Pixel 4A rocks a single-rear camera with 12.2 MP resolution. It comes with 1/2.55″ sensor and large 1.4µm pixels. the sensor supports an aperture of f/1.7. The Pixel 4A comes with all the major features from Google like Night Sight, Portrait Mode and Top Shot. Google has also thrown in OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) to keep your videos steady. On the front, the smartphone supports an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture but lacks autofocus. Google has stuck to the good old physical fingerprint scanner at the back with is fast and accurate.

3. OnePlus Teases Always On Display In Video
Just a couple of days ago, OnePlus confirmed that it will roll out the much-anticipated always on display for it’s Smartphones and the good thing is OnePlus will implement the same for not only its new smartphones but also for the old generation devices. Now the company has shared teaser video and gives a glimpse at the upcoming feature and it looks pretty cool and awesome.
OnePlus has joined its hand with the Parsons School of Design to bring beauty to the upcoming feature and the featured design is dubbed as “Time”. As the day goes on, the clock will move across the line, cool, isn’t it? It will also mark the usage of the phone. Moreover, the company has also updated its upcoming version of the user interface and the OnePlus will offer the same with the improved look as well as style and the always-on display feature is also coming with the upcoming OxygenOS 11. 4. Qualcomm Tipped To Unveil Snapdragon 860
The very popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm already unveiled two chips i.e. Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus this year and now it seems that the company may unveil yet another processor for the Smartphones and that will be related to its high-end series and that is called 800 series.
According to the source, Qualcomm is working on a new processor called Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 and that is a toned-down version of the 865 chipsets. The report says that the company may debut with Oppo smartphone and also said that in a recent Oppo meeting revealed the existence of the processor and we are hearing about the same for the first time as well.
That said, we can safely assume that the upcoming chip will also support the next generation 5G connectivity. 5. Redmi 9 Prime Launched In India With 5,020 mAh Battery
The smartphone features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display along with 89.83% screen to body ratio and the same is protected with Gorilla Glass 3, the device is also coming with a waterdrop like a notch on the top of the screen. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 processor and paired within 3/4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage and that can be expandable up to 512 GB via microSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the latest Redmi 9 Prime comes with a quad rear camera and that’s in the combination of a 13-megapixel primary sensor followed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens along with a 5-megapixel macro sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device also offers an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for the selfies and video calls.
It is priced at ₹9,999 for the 64GB storage variant, while the 128GB storage variant comes with a price tag of ₹11,999, and the smartphone will be available on August 6 at 10 am as an early access sale via Amazon during the Prime Day.
