Protected Content in Groups and Channels
Through this update, Telegram helps protect the content published by the creators and ensure that it is only available to the intended audience.
Group and channel admins who want to retain only their content members can restrict the transfer of messages from their chats, block screenshots and limit the ability to protect media from posts.
Delete Messages by Date
Telegram users can delete any message from the conversation at any time. With this update, you can now erase chat history on any particular on-one chat from a specific day or date, making it even more convenient.
You can use this new feature by tapping on the pop-up date bar as you scroll through the chat, which will open the calendar. From there, you can choose which day to clear.
Manage Connected Devices
Telegram allows you to use the account simultaneously on all devices. The Tools menu also lets you control where your account is logged in. The company has added a new button to quickly link a desktop device with QR code scanning and logout settings. After a while the devices turn on automatically .
Additionally, the update enables more control over your linked devices, as you can tap on any device in the list to view more information and toggle whether to accept calls or new secret chats.
Anonymous Posting in Public Groups
Public groups and channel comments allow discussions on any topic in large communities of thousands of members.Now you can represent your channel in this group discussion with the new ability to ‘appear as a channel’ when sending messages on these chats.
To access this function, you can tap on the profile picture next to the message bar and select one of your channels – then the messages you send will appear with the channel name and photo instead of your personal account.
The inclusion of these new features has made Telegram more attractive and much to be desired from WhatsApp’s powerful chat service, which is extremely limited in privacy and convenience.
