- The update is already live across the country.
The very popular microblogging website Twitter has rolled out a brand new feature for the users of India and it is dubbed as Twitter Fleets which is actually similar to the Stories of Instagram or Status of the world’s most favourite instant messaging application WhatsApp.
It is rolled out in India after the official announcement in Italy and Brazil last month, and the new feature is already started to roll out to many users and started to experience the same.
The Twitter Fleets is a different timeline that will appear on the top of the screen and that will be in a small circular shape that will allow users to share content and that will be automatically disappeared after 24 hours. Well, it is a new name of Status or Story feature which we experience on many popular social networking applications including Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and more.
Having said that, the restriction of the characters and that is 280 words will be applicable in the Twitter Fleets but you will not able to retweet or like. However, you can able to react with emojis and people can able to reply through the direct messages.
Separately, Twitter is also experimenting a new feature that will nudge the users to read a story before retweeting it and this is something handy and also the same feature will help people to avoid circulating the fake news because sometimes the headline is not enough to understand the complete matter.
