Ever since Elon Musk took the charge of the world’s most favourite microblogging platform Twitter, it is not having good times and the same continuous as well. Now it is reported that Twitter is at higher risk and hacker is ready to sell millions of data.
According to a new report, the hacker has obtained sensitive information of 400 million users and the same was illegally captured in 2021. It is also said that the information was obtained by abusing an API vulnerability that has been fixed since the same was originally discovered.
It is also reported that the hacker has offered Elon Musk and Twitter to purchase this data for a hefty price of 200,000 US Dollars. It is worth mentioning that if Twitter refuse the deal then they would face an even heavier fine from the GDPR.
Moreover, the hacker has shared a sample by sharing data of over 1,000 users that include a number of celebrities, and the information includes sensitive data like email addresses, usernames, follower counts, creation dates, and some users’ phone numbers. Via
