Aadhaar is no more a matter of forgetfulness. Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI) has launched a digital mobile alternative mAadhaar which can be used instead of the original Aadhaar.
Now, this app has been made available for Android users (Android v3.0 and above) and can be downloaded anytime from Google play. Users can log in through their 12-digit Aadhaar number and a password. This requires a one time registration which is done by SMS or TOTP (Time based One Time Password).
You can also use your fingerprint(if supported) as an additional security setup or simply a PIN. Also, the app shows details like the user’s photo, name, date of birth, gender and address as It is linked with the user’s Aadhar number. Profiles can be updated after passing OTP verification.
