WhatsApp the world’s most favourite instant messaging application working on the UPI- based mobile payment system from a long time now. Back in June, we updated that WhatsApp is working close with SBI and NCPI to make the feature possible very soon. And now it seems that the feature is almost ready, as it has leaked in the beta version of Android app.
WABetaInfo has reported the feature in their blog, the new UPI payment page is hidden right now. And the feature is available in the WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.17.295, it is the opt-in feature which will allow instant payments as it works on IMPS protocol.
Let’s hope that the new feature will live soon, and the UPI Payments feature will be really handy on WhatsApp because it has 200 million users across the country. And with the feature, users can able to transfer money between each other in few simple taps.
