Back in March, the Chinese smartphone brand Vivo unveiled X21 and X21 UD. The X21 came with face unlock and a fingerprint scanner, on the other hand, the X21 UD features the in-display fingerprint scanner and it is the first smartphone to have such kind of security option. Well, today the company has launched the Vivo X21 UD in India but it is launched as the Vivo X21.
The device sports 6.28 inch FullScreen Super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and has 2280 X 1080 pixels resolution. The device is coming with iPhone X like notch, and with the notch, the device looks similar to the iPhone X and it also has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3%. Having said that, the notch accommodates the earpiece, front camera, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Coming to under the hoods, the device is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor and the device is paired with 6 GB RAM along with Adreno 512 for the graphical task. In terms of storage options, the device has 128 GB of internal storage, and the device also allows you to expand the storage upto 256 GB via microSD card.
Speaking about the photography, the device has dual camera setup at back with the combination of 12 megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) + 5 megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) with Portrait Mode, Dual Pixel with AI Beauty Mode and LED flash. The device also features 12 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI Beauty Mode. The device features In-Display Fingerprint Scanner, Face Recognition, and Fingerprint Scanner, and the in-display fingerprint scanner is the highlighting feature of the device. With this feature, you can unlock the device by touching on the bottom half of the screen.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual SIM with 4G connectivity, and it will also feature Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB, and GPS. The device runs on Android Oreo v8.1 which is based on Funtouch OS 4.0, and the whole device is backed on a 3,200 mAh battery with fast charging. Speaking about the colour choices, the Vivo X21 will be available in Black, White, and Red.
