Just yesterday the Chinese smartphone brand Vivo launched Vivo Z1, which is the midrange smartphone. Well, now the company has launched yet another device into the ‘Y’ Series and the device is called Vivo Y83. So, let’s check out the specification, pricing, availability details of the device.
Design
Let’s start with the design, the Vivo Y83 has entirely different designing setup than the recently launched ‘Y’ series devices. As the smartphone is coming with the modern design and there is a notch on the top of the display, and it accommodates earpiece, front camera, ambient light sensor, and, proximity sensor. The device has small bezels on the left, right and top, and the bottom bezel is a bit larger, and the smartphone has a glossy-mirror finish which will offer a premium look.
Specs
The all new Vivo Y83 sports 6.22-inch HD+ display along with 19:9 aspect ratio and has 1520 x 720 pixels resolution. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 processor, that said, this is the first smartphone to be powered by Helio P22, and the device is paired with 4 GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device as 64 GB internal storage and it can be expandable upto 256 GB via microSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the device has 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Talking about the connectivity, the device supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB, and GPS. For security option, the device supports Face Unlock. The smartphone runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on Funtouch OS 4.0, and the device ships with a 3,260 mAh battery to keep the lights on.
Pricing and availability
The device is priced at ¥1498 (approx. ₹15,880), the device will be available in China and there is no word about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
