If we talk about innovative smartphones of 2018, Vivo’s X21 UD surely stands on top. Because the in-display fingerprint technology truly amazed everyone and many are excited about the launch of this smartphone in their respective countries. Even with this high-end technology, X21 UD got to stand in premium midrange segment, not in the flagship. That’s because Vivo used Qualcomm’s premium midrange Snapdragon 660 processor. Seems like Vivo loved this processor a lot, as today they launched another smartphone with the same processor, Vivo Z1. Apart from processor, let’s see what this new device packs within.
Going with the trend this Vivo Z1 sports a 6.26 inch Full HD+ (2280:1080) IPS LCD display with the notch on the top and 19:9 aspect ratio. As I said before, this phone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 octa core processor clocked at 2.2Ghz along with Adreno 512 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB. There is a dual 13MP + 2MP camera setup on the back with f2.2 lens and f2.4 lens respectively. On the front there is a 12MP shooter with f2.0 lens, which Vivo claims that it can shooter photos with 24MP resolution (HOW ???).
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. It packs a 3260mAh battery with old fashioned MicroUSB 2.0 slot. For security, it has the fingerprint sensor on the back and face unlock via front camera. For connectivity, it has 4G LTE. WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. This device will come in three color options; Black, Blue, and Red.
Pricing and Availability:
- Vivo Z1 is priced at CNY 1798 (USD 281. INR 19,207).
- Will be available in China from 4th
- No details on pricing and availability in other countries.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Speaking of the specification, this phone is just looking like a slight downgrade version of Vivo X21, nothing new or different.
