The popular smartphone brand Vivo unveiled its latest mid-range offering and expanded its Z-series portfolio with the launch of Vivo Z5x, the device is the company’s first punch-hole setup smartphone. If you are not a regular follower of the tech industry, then the punch-hole setup will allow the brand to accommodate front camera under the display. Specifications of Vivo Z5x
It sports a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 2340 X 1080 pixels resolution along with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, and as mentioned above, it has the punch-hole setup at the top left corner of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor along with 4/6/8GB of RAM and has Adreno 616 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the smartphone is offered in four variants — 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, 6 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, 6 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage, and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. And if the storage is not enough for you then you can expand the storage via MicroSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the Vivo Z5x rocks triple rear cameras and that’s in the combination of 16 MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture + 8 MP 120° wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture + 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, there’s a 16 MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The device also features a fingerprint scanner to give the additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, Micro USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs on Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9, and ships on a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Lastly, the smartphone will be available in Midnight Black, Phantom Black, and Aurora Blue colors.
Pricing and availability of Vivo Z5x
The 4 GB + 64 GB variant is priced at 1398 yuan, while the pricing of 6 GB + 64 GB is set for 1498 yuan, the 6 GB + 128 GB variant will cost you 1698 yuan, and the 8 GB + 128 GB variant will have the price tag of 1998 yuan. The smartphone will be available for pre-order in China and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.

Usually, Vivo surprises with its smartphones but this makes me disappointed. Apart from the punch-hole setup, there’s nothing impressive on the board.
