Talking about the QR code option, it will allow users to add a new contact by simply scanning their QR codes and it is available on the latest version of WhatsApp beta for both the Android as well as iOS platform.

Moreover, it is also spotted that the social networking giant Facebook-owned WhatsApp is testing password protection backup for the iOS platform and this will enable password to the backups which are stored in the iCloud.
