Earlier this year, WhatsApp announced that they will discontinue its support from many devices by the end of 2016. And the list had many well known devices, but now the world’s most favourite instant messaging application is updated its list and extends its support for devices till June 2017.

If you are using an older version of device to use WhatsApp, then here is a good news for you. As the WhatsApp has extended its support for the older version of devices, in this article we will cover all the supported as well as unsupported devices which WhatsApp as listed. Read on.
Here’s the list of devices which will not support by the end of 2016:
- Android 2.1
- Android 2.2
- iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
- Windows 7.1 device
Here’s the list of devices which will support till June 2017:
- Blackberry including Blackberry 10
- Nokia S40
- Nokia Symbian S60
It’s to be recommended that those who are using the above mentioned device, to upgrade to a newer version of Android, iPhone or Windows phone before the end of support from the WhatsApp.
